"Tail of the Dragon" route; 11 miles of VERY winding road (317 curves).
Drive at your own risk.
This
little shop is about a mile from the 'entrance' to the Dragon. High octane,
with no ethanol gas available!

This
road leads to the entrance. There is a sign that reads, "DANGER - high
motorcycle accident area, next 11 miles.
Deals
Gap, NC is just outside the end of the Dragon and a major stop for all visitors.
The
General Store at Deals Gap. It is always surrounded by motorcycles!
This
is the "Tree of Shame" at Deals Gap. It consists of motorcycle parts
salvaged from bikes that have wrecked on
the Dragon (many of which have resulted in a fatality).
I
drove the Smoky mountain parkway on the way home. Beautful!
