"Gibson Girl" (SCR-578-A) Restoration
This is a hand powered, emergency transmitter designed for operation in a boat or life raft.
Generates about 4-watts, MCW, on 500Khz (International distress frequency).
Just so you know, the name "Gibson Girl" was taken from the narrow-waisted female drawings
of the 1890's by fashion artist Charles Gibson. The shape of the transmitter makes it look like it has a waist.
